Plot:

This is a very compelling drama that looks at what it means to be a parent today through the rather gritty yet very realistic lives of the struggling, blue-collar family called the Porter's, compared to the rather privelaged Campbell family. Their lives do intersect and intertwine and at times they collide, all for the love of a very young boy. This film bravely exposes the humanity in each character reminding us that we each have the potential to be the best and worst versions of ourselves at any time. This is one of those tissue needing movies and without a doubt one of the better films of 2011.
